Photography On-the-Go : Shortcomings of a Travel Blogger
Do you have a favourite travel photo? Above is my favourite travel photo from 2016 and below is my favourite travel photo from 2015.
Both of these photos were caught by chance, with not much thought or precision. I got yelled at for the second one... apparently you're not supposed to get that close to zebras in the wild. Oops!
I've had photography on the brain for the past few days. I'm very much aware of my shortcomings in that department.
I rarely take photos. My attitude has always been that you should experience things as they happen, and not take away from the experience by spending your time trying to take the perfect photo. I have more than a decade of international travel, with very few photos to show for it. As a matter of fact, if you've been to my Instagram @footeoutthedoor, you've seen most of them!
This all came to a head this past week when I began exploring new iPhones, as mine is on its death bed. For the sake of blogging, I'm trying to get better at remembering to take photos. Hell, I'm even exploring the idea of taking a class!
Do you have any photos that you covet as your favourite of all time? Were they more based on luck or precise care into setting up the perfect photo?
